Respecting our environment, communities and suppliers is the fundamental pillar of Verdi and forms the cornerstone of our sustainability credentials.
We strive to keep our footprint on our surroundings to an absolute minimum and pride ourselves on being part of the 'Slow Fashion Movement'. Our products are made to order specifically for each client, keeping the label’s exclusivity, preventing overproduction and waste, and eliminating unnecessary shipping.
Each Verdi piece is crafted to stand the test of time, both in terms of quality and style, and are designed to be loved equally now and by future generations.
Our artisans are a tight-knit community, operating small, family-run, boutique workshops in the heart of Tuscany. They are pivotal to what we are trying to do, so to us, it is vital that we support them to ensure their precious, irreplaceable skills are kept alive.
We have carefully selected a prestigious Santa Croce sull'Arno tannery to partner with, and we’re proud of their ethical credentials, including their participation in the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) program.
Leathers are derived exclusively as a by-product of food production and nothing goes to waste. Residues from hide processing are recycled for use in the food industry or as fertilizers, insulating material for construction, regenerated leather, or building applications.
Hides are sourced predominantly from Italy, France and New Zealand and each has full traceability.
All of Verdi’s swing tickets, labels, booklets and packaging are manufactured from recycled fibres and are 100% recyclable.
