Cashmere

Our cashmere is laboratory tested to ensure the fibre is comprised of 100% cashmere.

Please don’t hang your cashmere garments on a hanger, as the fibres can stretch. They should be folded, placing the arms across each other and then the entire garment folded in half, and stored flat on a shelf or in a drawer.

For longer term storage please use the silk bag provided and always store in a cool and dry environment.

Your cashmere should be hand washed in lukewarm water and can be ironed on a low heat, but please don't use fabric softener and ensure you do not tumble dry your garments.

After washing, gently press with a towel to remove excess water, please don't wring.

Cashmere garments should be air dried, flat.

Pilling

Pilling is a result of the fabric rubbing against different surfaces, and although we use Grade A cashmere in all of our products, it's not possible to completely prevent pilling. There are, however, steps that can be taken to limit the amount:

  • Try to minimise friction when you're wearing your cashmere.
  • Give your garment a rest between wears. This gives the fibres in the fabric time to return to their original shape and become stronger.
  • Washing inside out will reduce the friction during the cleaning process.
  • To remove any pills, make sure the garment is dry and use a cashmere comb or cashmere bristle brush.

Capra Hircus Laniger cashmere goat

Cashmere is synonymous with luxury, comfort and status. A prized natural fibre, it is collected by harmlessly combing the thick undercoat of the highly cherished Capra Hircus Laniger goats.

Our prestigious Italian suppliers ensure the goats freely graze in the vast surroundings and monitor the entire harvesting process, the protection of the territory, and the welfare of animals and shepherds.
